Cause alarm
Incorrectly tell the client they have already overstayed.
Enter the wrong leave to remain date on the application – 4 April 2020 instead of 9 February 2021.
When the client does not appeal or leave they become an overstayer – backdated to 4 April 2020. This aligns with the incorrect date entered on the application.
Stall the application so that the refusal arrives in a year. Try to convince the client to submit another application for a fee.
Tell your legal team and the clients legal team they agreed to become an overstayer however implausible that might be.
